Hi everyone

So, I'm trying to prepare my cats (and myself) for a move from California to Denver next week. My cats are brother & sister and seem to hate being in separate carriers when in the car, so I got them one huge carrier so they can be close to each other.

I was thinking about getting them sedative pills, but I've heard so many bad things about them that I have now opted to NOT give them pills.

But..now I'm questioning something else...

Is there anything wrong or bad that can happen if I "dont" give my cats sedatives? They really freak out in the car. They start panting, meowing non-stop, I worrry that they'll give themselves little heart attacks!!!!

So, can anything BAD happen if I allow my cats to travel au-natural?

Cats usually react quite the opposite when you give them pills for traveling. I suggest you put in a towel or small cat bed in the carrier and a towel over the carrier so they can't see the movement.

They might cry the first 1/2 hour or hour, but sooner or later they will fall asleep on their own.

Okay, so you're suggesting just leave the sedatives out, and let them fall asleep on their own?
