I have two siamese queens. My older queen Sarah just had her second litter of babies. I am a little bit worried about how my younger queen Peanut is acting. Everytime she sees them she hisses and runs away.
Peanut is one year old and has never had a litter. I am a worried how she will act with her own kittens.
Do some queens act mean to other kittens and then take care of thier own?
Do you think that she will abandon her babies?

Could Sarah have disiplined Peanut for coming near her babies in the past? I have had that issue before of another young queen coming to check out a queen's young babies, and the queen getting upset and running the other cat off.
After the babies got older, the other cat would hiss and growl when the babies came near her. She calmed down over a few days after she figured out that the queen didn't mind her babies socializing now.
She still went on to become a wonderful Mom.

I don't know if this could be your situation or not, but it is something that has occured here.

When I got Peanut and my new male T-Bird Sarah acted very mean to them. Overtime she got used to them and now they are all friends. Do you think that it could be the same case with Peanut and the kittens? Sarah is a great mom.
Peanut has never had babies before. Do you think that her maternal instincts will kick in when her own are born.

I don't think you have to worry about her being a good mother. How she reacts to another females kittens has nothing to do with how she'll take care of her own.

These strange little buggers are new to her! They smell strange, they look strange and they behave strange... I'm not sure she even knows the kittens are cats.

My oldest female is spayed and she reacted the same way when my young female had kittens. The older one was a wonderful mother to her own kittens!

I agree, almost all of my queens do that to eachothers kittens but they are good moms to their own kittens.
