Well I have a pregnant cat that discharged some mucus on Sunday night. I thought it might have been her mucus plug, but nothing has happened since. The color of the mucus was either a beige or a greenish gray. Is it normal for it to be that color?

Petkeepr..even though there are many helpful people on this site..they are not online 24/7..so if you see something that concerns you, the best bet is to call a vet office. Many emergency care vet offices are willing to talk to someone over the phone to determine whether a cat needs to go in to see a vet and it is better than worrying.

Samantha and I have been communicating via private message on this topic, but for the sake of everyone else interested, beige or greenish-gray, thick, smelly discharge is NOT normal. If it is clear, slightly watery and doesn't have an odor, it is probably just the queen's normal lubricant and she is probably very close to beginning delivery - at least within the next few days.
