I don't think we've done this for awhile. If you know of any handy dandy helpful hints, please post them here. I'll start.

When drying a comforter, throw a few clean tennis balls in the dryer with it to help keep the filling from bunching up.

If anyone uses those foaming facial cloths to wash their face (like Oil of Olay) they make great "wipe the bathroom counter and faucet really quick" thingys

Oooh!! I love this!! I have a few helpful hints, but I'll give one now.

To clean up baked-on crud inside your microwave, place a bowl of vinegar in it and heat for 30--60 seconds. Everything will wipe off easily.

If you have a garbage disposal, and it has a funky smell, throw some orange peels down there, or some lemon peels too - run the disposal as you put them in there, and your sink will smell delightful!

Using dryer sheets (non used) and put them in your dresser drawers, closets, ect - and they will make your clothes and dressers smell wonderful!

I actually put some dryer sheets under/around Harley's litter box, where he can't get to them obviously, and it always smells good in the area of his litter box!

Run a dryer sheet over your hair when you get static...smells good, too!! I use them in my drawers as a sachet.

Not sure if this qualifies as a helpful hint or not...

Tired of getting all of the credit card offers in the mail? You can opt out

Calling 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688) to have your name removed from direct marketing lists. You can also opt out online at OptOutPreScreen.com, which is the official consumer credit reporting industry opt-out website.

(disclaimer) I have used the phone number to opt out, not sure about the website, I'd check it out for yourself - you have to give them your SS #

*** for garbage disposals... also putting ice cubes down there occasionally sharpens the blades.

Nature's Miracle does more than get cat pee out of the sofa. It also gets coffee stains out of your clothes!

Uh, well I stumbled on this hint after I scorched Heidi's oyster stew! Take Borax and Baking soda, mix together and sprinkle into about a 1/2 inch of water on bottom of pot, let it sit for a while then scour off. I had been trying for days and almost threw out my pot when I read that tip. Made it much easier!

Use Empty toilet paper roll to store appliance cords. It
keeps them neat
and you can write on the roll what appliance it
belongs to.
============================================
For icy door steps in freezing temperatures: get warm water
and put Dawn
dishwashing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't
refreeze
==================================================
Crayon marks on walls? This worked wonderfully! A damp rag,
dipped in
baking soda. Comes off with little effort
============================================
Permanent marker on appliances/counter tops (like store receipt
BLUE)rubbing alcohol on paper towel.
==================================================
Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for
at least 3
hours prior to burning.
================================================
Spray your TUPPERWARE with nonstick cooking spray before
pouring in
tomato
based sauces and there won't be any stains
================================================
Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it
on your
forehead.
The throbbing will go away.
================================================
To get rid of itch from mosquito bites, try applying soap on
the area
And
you will experience instant relief.

Movin' on up!
Inexpensive powdered carpet deodorizer works wonders in the litter box (I buy vanilla-scented at the 99-cent store)

Wipe your TV screen and computer monitor with used dryer sheets - takes off the dust and helps keep it from re-depositing so quickly.

Gosh, who needs a medical cabinet full of stuff when you can just keep Prep H in?!

Also, Prep H works really well for itchy rashes and prickly heat!

If you are cutting chiles (jalepenos etc) and you get a squirt in the eye, have someone rub your eye with hair (yours or theirs).

Learned that from my Thai cooking instructor.

That is a really weird hint. I would never let someone rub my eye with their hair! LOL
