I am so happy.
Ophelia has been seperated from the two fosters she was living with as they both have ringworm. She is in the upstairs bathroom where she spent the most part of her housecat life. She settled in quite well. She has stopped shedding & it looks like all of the hair she lost is from scratching at her collar. My fault, now I feel bad. This morning, I went in to use the bathroom, & she skittered bath under the dresser where she likes to "hide"(you can clearly see her there). I stood near the toilet & wiggled my fingers. Do you know what she did? She walked up to me, so I held out one finger to 'niff-niff'(that's what we call it when Twitch sniffes a finger). She then rubbed on my finger & let me pet her with my other hand!
She hasn't done that before! I think with her being alone, no other cats, & minimal human contact(I feel so bad, trying to pay attention to two dogs, Lily & Twitch, Ophelia, & the two fosters-I don't have enough time for them all some days), she has begun to cherish whatever time I can give her. When I got back from class at noon, I peeked in to check on Ophie. She was curled up asleep in the sink. I didn't get to the camera fast enough, though. She jumped out before I could get a picture. I did put a piece of fabric(a blanket) in the sink for her to sleep on, though. She is getting so brave, I almost got one claw clipped yesterday!
I have set up a schedule. My mom pets Ophelia 4 x a day & leaves the ringworm cats to me. I medicate & pay attention to the ringworm cats 3 x a day & Ophelia whenever I have the time. Dad takes care of the dogs for me & my little sister plays with Twitch & Lily(yes, she got the really tough job
). That way, I can didivde my spare time among all of the pets & I am sure they get enough attention.
