Which cat virus does this sound like?

An acquaintance of mine keeps her cats inside because she said one of her cats has a disease - but this cat can share water and food with the other cats, without worry. The only time another cat might get it, is if her cat got into a fight with another cat - I can't figure out what disease this is...does anyone have any ideas? She didn't remember, but said her cat is fine and healthy.

I sure hope she's right about them being able to share food and water bowls.....safely...

Sounds like FIV to me. It's transmitted from saliva to blood, which pretty much only happens in serious fights. In an ordinary household situation the risk of transmission is negligible.
