First, I hope this is the right area for these kinda questions
So, now is the time for Layla to go in and be spayed. Now, money does kinda of play in here. Nearly $300 at her usual vet's office is a lot of money. Now, I've been telling my mom since the beginning that the low cost programs out there are not as bad as she is making it out to be. What I am hoping for is maybe someone here works with a program like this a lot, or can direct me to some information about what typically goes on. She's scared the death about taking her and I can't help ease her mind, so I figured some nice, hard, firm facts will help. Or, maybe those that disagree and think it's a good idea to go through her regular vet, and it's money well-spent, I can argue that too. I just need some information, and a good program to look into. I did look at the low cost area in the caring for strays and ferals, but there is so much stuff to look at. Opinions are very much needed here.
Secondly, one of my sister's cats that is now currently living with us, with his brother (mind you this brings our household total to 6 cats and 2 dogs
). Well, I noticed JR has some... well, black stuff under his chin. It's just on his chin. It kinda looks like when a cat has fleas, and all the little black egg specks, but thicker and more dense. I thought I remembered somewhere this was like a form of kitty acne or something. He's the only one with it, so I'm not excatly sure what I am looking at and what I can do to remedy the situation. It just looks pretty ick
