hello, i recently adopted a 2 month old male cat, which actually seem very healthy, he's playful, he eats regularly, hes very confident around the house, too condifent id say...(he lost fear of the vaccum cleaner very very fast)
well the thing is ive noticed my cat kinda meows a lot when he is using his litterpan, it doesnt sound at all like he's in pain, sounds a bit like if it was just "talking" u know?, i checked his feces and all to see if he had diarrhea or sumthin but they seem ok,...is this behavior normal? is there any way before i take him to the vet to actually know if he has some kind of urine infection or sumthin???
any help would be greatly appreciated...cheers!

With some urinary problems you can see white "crystals" in the urine spot in the litter. However with a cat that young there is no doubt in my mind that he must be seen by a vet. There could be many things amiss that cannot be seen by us.

Your kitty needs to see his Vet promptly for a thorough assessment. Especially common in little boys, if he should develop a blockage, it would turn deadly very quickly. Please get him in for an exam.

Certainly he should see a vet, but 'talking' to themselves, if it is not a painful meow, is not that uncommon. Two of mine do it when first looking at the litter box - as if they are deciding if it is clean enough and deep enough, and then sometimes they give a meow and go off to find a different one! Or they meow when covering, just little sqeaks. And they do not have UTIs.

Mine sometimes "talk", esp. Joey, mostly when he's digging for different spot - but I took him to the vet just to be sure! The vet charged the minimal amount - and the relief of mind was well worth it!
