Sarabi's babies-two days old!

These were taken this morning.

Baby # 1-tabby.


Number 2, another brown tabby. (Isn't that a precious face?)


Number 3 is a swirly brown tabby. Sarabi says, "Are you done making my babies cry, yet?"

And the gray tabby, # 4.


My miracle baby # 5. One eye is outlined in black, and the other is white! I am seeing some stripes in the "black" of my tuxedo baby...so maybe its a full house of moggy tabbies!


And number 6...the tabby who looks like someone spille milk on him!


The moment I set them on the scale, they start turning and spinning and trying to get back to their Momma!

bless them! they are so weeny!

Sorry, I'm having photobucket problems! Baby 1 and 2 do look a LOT alike, but come one! When I look at photobucket there are 2 different pics, but when I posted it here they are the same pic! And I can't seem to reload the other photo (of kitten # 2) at photobucket!

Is there a limit to the number of pics photobucket takes?

Sarabi is a stray, straight from the streets of Chicago. She is estimated to be 2 years old. And by the way she acts, I would say she is not a first time Mom.

All my other fosters were pets, and they were good Moms, but would leave the babies sometimes. Sarabi has been with those kittens every time I check on her. Bless her heart...she probably populated Chicago with a herd of tabbies in the past 2 years!

None of the babies are adopted out yet, but I foster for an agency. Once they are old enough, they will go to Petsmart and Petco for a few hours every Saturday, and I'm sure they will find homes quickly.

Sarabi is doing a fine job with the babies. They are staying very clean, and gaining weight nicely. She is a little purr factory herself, but stays in the cat cage rather than exploring the room.

I set her on a ledge by the window once, and she ran back to the cage. I doubt she has ever been in a house before. What a change for her...to go from an always preggers street cat to a spayed house cat (once the kittens are old enough). But she was only here for 3-4 days before she had the kittens, so she didn't have much chance to explore her new room. She is very friendly, but a bit shy. Not at all afraid of people I don't think.

It will be interesting to see what she is like when she is done with the babies. I sure don't want another kitty to keep, but she is extremely endearing!

They are absolutely precious! I would love Sarabi! I am just taken with her!

I want them all, of course...but you know how I feel about tuxies! Hmm, perhaps its time to talk my husband into # 3!
