Well, it's a work night, so that means fast food.

Tonight's selection: Arby's roast beef sandwich with Arby's sauce and mayo, and an extra large pepsi.

I had Birthday Cake! (Today is my mom's birthday.) Literally that was my dinner, although DH is making a snack now. For lunch I had meat tortellini with tomato sauce from an awesome Italian Restaurant here in town. I love that place! (Most of the staff have wonderful Italian accents!)

I picked up a copy of Rachel Ray's April/May magazine yesterday and got the ingredients for one of her recipes: Green Spring Chili and French Fry pie!!
It wasn't too bad I had to substitute for a different kind of bean. DH even thought it wasn't bad (I was sure he wouldn't like it!!)

I ended up going to Perkins with my friend - I had a banana nut muffin, pancakes and sausage - it was YUMMY!

We had breakfast: biscuits & gravy and bacon. Simple to make, yummy to eat. Unfortunately, hubby got a nasty grease burn on his thumb/hand, so that's making for a bad night overall...

I won't be sharing this recipe!
It definitely needs some work. It was very watery and bland.

Today was payday
and Papa Murphy's has the family size Chicago Style stuffed pizza on sale for $11.99. The wife was busy painting in the new place and didn't want to cook. No brainer!

Thursday night is "catch as catch can". Rob usually picks up Golden Arches, and I grab whatever there's time for. Tonight there wasn't, so I got "dinner" when we got home about 10:30. Bacon and tomato sandwich on an English muffin. Fast, tasty, even sort of balanced.

I was hoping that you'd come back saying it was wonderful and I'd then have something to cook for tonight!

Oh well, I think I'll find something easy to do - as I'll be guzzeling copious amounts of Guinness anyway!

I had a packet pasta and sauce thing. Its one of the ones where you mix milk, water and butter with the packet of noodles and powder sauce. Nothing special, I love to cook, and am quite good too, but I don't like to cook for just myself. Plus my boss stuffed up so I didn't get paid this fortnight.

I DO have a really good chili recipe that has beer and tequila in it, but it takes hours to make. I can PM it to you if you want.

Oh that sounds great!
Definitely PM it to me! I'd love to give it a try!

When you say it takes hours, you mean you just leave it to do it's own thing and only check on it once in a while?!!

Yes, once it's all cooking, then you can just check on it occasionally. I will dig up the recipe in a little bit

Sounds just like my kind of recipe!

No rush to get it to me, just when you can!
Thank you though, I'm really looking forward to giving it a try!
