Mom of 10Cats has a video on her web site that should be seen by all of us.

As kitten season begins, it is a profound reminder that every cat is a precious being who needs care, love and a home.

Please take the time to view it....

Oh my goodness you weren't wrong either Lei
And i'd ask everyone to watch it because their sweet little faces make it all worth while

If i ever get another i know now in my heart that it'll be one who's of adult age just so it can have a loving stable home for the rest of it's years

I applaud you people who rescue

Thank you all for your kind words!

Those are all cats from the shelter in Pennsylvania where we volunteered for 5 years and took the photos for their Petfinder site. We were told that within a year of us starting their Petfinder page, adoptions went up 70%. Nothing could have made us happier.

Actually all but one of the cats on there were adopted; Chester, a buff tabby, was euthanized due to overcrowding, and Tybalt still beats himself up over that. We had a choice one day; we could adopt Phoenix or Chester, and whoever we didn't take would die. They wouldn't let us take them both.
Incidentally, almost all of the cats on there are owner-surrenders, not strays.

We do have another video that I've made but not published; it's our cats, set to Queen's "You're My Best Friend". I need to put it on the website somewhere. Much happier and more upbeat!

Be sure to post it in TCS Lounge so everyone can enjoy it.

When I watched the video in this thread, I started crying it touched me so deeply.
The music along with the beautiful kitties eyes, spoke a thousand words....
"Please give us a home."

I hope that every member takes the time to view it.

Amazing video! It shows that there are adult cats in need of a good home. Everyone wants a kitten but I know now too that I would love another adult kitty
Thank you for sharing

When the time comes to get another cat in our lives, I will be rescuing an older cat and give it a wonderful home to live out the rest of its life.

That is a tear jerker for sure...the music alone was enough to give me the sniffles.

Aww. that was so sad for me. If a friend of a friend had not rescued Mitts from the street, I wouldnt have my little bundle of joy.

You do some good work

Ohhhhhh.. I just wish I could save ALL of them!! That is so sad.....Very touching. I've still got a tear going down my cheek. If it weren't for TCS, and things like that video, I probably wouldn't have considered rescueing a cat sometime. When my cats are gone... I've decided I will adopt one from a shelter.

I'm so glad there are people like you to make others aware of things like this that are happening. That is a great video. I have no doubt it has saved at least a few cats, for some who have watched it.

That video reminds me of why I have 7 cats. It's not as many as Sue has, but it's a lot more than most people have. I never regret having that many for a second, and even though I have to defend myself quite often against either cat haters or people who can't fathom having that many cats, (called the crazy cat lady being one of the nicer things people have said) seeing how happy I make them because they have a wonderful life here, not to mention how happy they make me every day, makes it all worth it. I believe everyone should help as many animals as they are physically and financially able to. It is so rewarding. We can't save them all individually, but the more people adopt, the more lives are saved.
