My biggest fears then would have to have been Ticks (horrible camping story
), every other bug, X-Files, and the Tales From The Crypt skeleton.

Lol...those are some weird things to be scared of, but that skeleton creeped me out!!

For me it was the witch in the Wizard of Oz, gave me nightmares for years.

You know I saw that when I was a kid and thought, "Isn't that a little scary for kids to be watching?"

Still think it.

Where they fast?
I can see why you were scared of them.

Don't tell my brother I told you this, but he used to be scared to death of Trolls after seeing the Ernest Halloween video one night.
He had to walk across the dark street to get back to our house. After that when anyone mentioned trolls he would get terrified! Not anymore though...I think I teased him too much with it.

Oh geez... what wasn't I scared of when I was a child?
Everything is scary. Storm troopers were scary, Darth Vader, skeletons are always scary, the headless horseman from Disney, evil looking carved wooden tribal masks that scared me in my parents' friends' basement, basements, my grandparents' especially because they would never let us down there. It was supposedly a very dark and dingy being an old farmhouse basement. Our sisters and I thought there was a bottomless pit down there. We weren't too far off when we got to se it later in life. Anyway, there's something really funny and cute about what used to scare us. Reading these makes me think, awwwww...
I think I'd be scared of the Daleks too if I saw Dr. Who when I was younger.

Don't come to visit me then! I pulled the first tick of the season off me after I weeded the garden last Sunday. I've gotten over my squeamishness of them over the years.

Biggest fear: water, particularly deep water and its related to the fear of drowning. It's so bad I still can't put my face under water without cringing, even when showering. When I was young my dad used to take us swimming at the local YMCA and my brothers used to tell me there were sharks in the pool. My sister was carrying me in the pool one time (I was probably 2) and carried me so deep that my head went under. I remember my mother screamed at her and told her she could have drowned me. I guess it left a big impression.

I was always scared that there was something under my bed. Always!!! I envisioned a octopus monster with all these legs reaching up from under my bed. I would even run and jump into the middle of the bed and sleep in the middle of the bed. I would convince myself that if I laid exactly in the middle the arms couldn't reach me!

I had this problem forever until I married and I couldn't sleep in the middle anymore.

I was always afraid of getting lost.

Oh - and afraid of the creepy guy who was friends with my grandparents (found out many years later that he had molested my aunt when she was little - good kid instincts)
