Oh Eileen I'm so sorry she's not herself. I know exactly how you feel, I saw my Grandma on Friday and my Grandads funeral and she was the same.
It's not nice *HUGS* for you and vibes for your Grandma.

Surgery is a difficult thing to recover from at any stage of life, especially when you are elderly. I will keep in my prayers and hopefully with everyday she gets stronger physically, she'll get stronger emotionally!

I'm hoping that her spirit returns as she recovers. Hopefully once she gets out of the hospital she will have a new outlook.

Thanks so much for your prayers, everyone. As of yesterday, Grandma is back at the retirment center, although in the skilled nursing unit, not her apartment. She's feeling a little more positive now, but still has a ways to go. So, please keep the prayers and vibes coming that she continues to recover and soon gets back to her fiesty self. Thanks again!

Just got some great news from my Mom!

Grandma's been up and around the past couple of days for therapy and today the nurse convinced her to go to a picnic they were having for the residents. At first, Grandma didn't want to go but she changed her mind when she found out they were having potato salad!

Now that sounds like the Grandma I know and love!
