Have to admit, I'm feeling pretty worried. Any surgery is risky at her age. Please keep the vibes and prayers coming.
Thanks so much.
I just saw this, your grandma sounds like an awesome lady and I'm sending major prayers to her and to the rest of your family.

I also want to say I've worked at a nursing home for many years so I know that a lot of these elderly people are very tough. It sounds like your grandma is too.
Please keep updating us and
to you all!!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Grandma came through the surgery just fine and they were able to stop the bleeding. She's weak, but stable, and will need to be hospitalized for at least a few days. She was still in CCU last night, but they were planning to move her to a regular room over the weekend.

I can't tell you how much we appreciate all the vibes and prayers. Please keep them coming a little bit longer if you can. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I'm so glad your grandma got through the surgery and is in stable condition. Lots of prayers are speeding to her and your family, and I hope she continues to do well.

Your grandmother is in my thoughts, Eileen. My grandmother would have celebrated her 99th birthday today. She died of breast cancer back in 1984, but I still miss her.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Grandmothers definitely hold special places in our hearts. Both of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Just wanted to ask you guys for some more prayers. I visited Grandma this afternoon. She's out of CCU and in a regular room and will probably be released in a few days. She'll be in skilled care at her retirement home for a while. Grandma's still a little tired and weak, but doing as well as can be expected physically. What we're worried about now is her emotional condition. She's very depressed and hasn't been eating much. It's like she's given up and doesn't think she can bounce back from this. We're all encouraging her and trying to keep her spirits up, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. She's lost her fiesty attitude.
We're hoping she'll be more positive about things once she's released from the hospital. In the meantime, if you could spare some more prayers/vibes that we can somehow help her realize how much she still has to live for, it would mean a lot. Thanks for everything.

Thanks for keeping us updated on her condition. I'm sending prayers to you, your family and your grammie. With such a supportive family I'm sure you can help her get through this rough patch.

Eileen...Your dear Grandmother is blessed to have you as her Granddaughter.
I pray that soon, she will be strong enough to realize that she still has a purpose in life...
to give love to her family.

Thanks for the update on your Grandma, Eileen. I'm glad to hear that she's coming along physically, and sorry to hear that she's feeling down. Having been through very similar situations with my Dad, at a very similar age, I think it is more than reasonable to hope that once she gets back home to familiar surroundings/people, her emotional state will pick up quickly. I'm praying with you that this is the case. She is very fortunate to have a loving family around her, especially at a time like this.
to you and to her.
