Well, as you all know by now I am having a new baby on May 5th. Hubby and I cannot agree on a boy's name. We have reached the point where we are both asking our websites we frequent (me here and him his lacrosse site) to help us with a name. Of course we have a girl's name, but this is supposed to be another boy. Now his website has come up with good names and some definate "fun" names (Veronex - Destroyer of Worlds). We are willing to have some fun with this, but any real ideas will also be appreciated. Our 1st boy is Kevin Alexander, so we can't use those. It should also go with the last name McFarlane.

So tallyho and bring forth the names, both fun adn serious! I will be sharing them with hubby.

I don't envy you this task. I had a hard enough time coming up with names for my cats!
Human names I like tend to be the more traditional ones.
How about looking into Scottish and Irish names? They'd go well with McFarlane.

The most recent additions to my family - my two nephews - are Sean Thomas and Liam Declan (just a little Irish!). I really love the name Sean, also Peter as evidenced by my little furboy!

My half brother is a McKnight, his wife is a McArthur, so they stuck with tradition, their son is Connor, their daughter is Katharine.

As for tradition, I like the name Shannon/Seannan/Sionnan
Too bad kids would just torment a boy with that name

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Whenever I hear a name I like I write it in my diary for that day I finally have kids!
I have about a trillion girls names and 1 boys name - Curtis. I think it's a cute name. I also like Scott, Daniel (shortened to Dan), Ben, Nicholas, Charlie, Luke (Lukey) and about a million others but my memory is failing me. I'll try and remember.
You could just shock everyone and call him Sleeves

Oliver, Spencer, Tucker, Oscar, Porter.

I plan on using Tucker, maybe Porter.

Desmond (from the boyfriend), Justin, Timothy, James (Jemmy for short).

I play the Sims so I always keep a list of first and last names handy. I like collecting silly ones, long ones, etc so I have them all.

Antoine, Kaesyn, Igancio, Malki, Easton, Amin, Alfey, Anakin, Nigel, Dickon, Collin, Duncan, Marcel, Brinkley, Drake, Vincent, Ruben, Asher, Anton, Diego, Saul, Ajay, Gavin.

I'd look up a few names that crossed your mind(10 or so) to see what they mean. Or you could always steal Devin's name. It's older form is Gaelic for little black one. I've met two Devin's who werent cat's.

I like Liam, Benjamin, Joshua, Scott, Cory, Adrian, Aidan, Gavin, Aaron, Sean

I am very close, for better or worse, with people named Scott, Adrian and Cory, so I might not choose those names, but I LOVE them. I also like Ian a lot, but unless I want an Ian Jr., that's out of the question for me.

I love the names Adam and Michael, I like very traditonal boy's names, while my girl choices are a little more ecclectic- Isis, Sydney

A really good Unisex name I came across was Telaryn pronounced like TEL-Aaron. It's Ancient Galic. I named my son that and he's one of two telaryn's in canada. It's really original and neat sounding. If you are more traditional, I like Zackary( I like to spell names weird)

With the last name Mcfarlane, Seth could either be super cool, or a nightmare depending on the sense of humor of those the kid interacts with.

For those unaware, Seth McFarlane is the creator of Family Guy and American Dad.

Comedic genius as far as I'm concerned, but a little too raw for most.
