The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Is anyone here into them? Does anyone get treatments or does anyone give treatments?
I'm thinking about doing a leisure course in alternative therapies and then if Im any good at it, maybe getting a qualification so that I always have something I can earn money on the side.

What sort of therapy are you talking about?

I'm all for using chiropractors (seen first hand what a difference it can make when doctors usually prescribe pain meds).

But maybe you are talking about such things are Reiki or such? I like a lot of this stuff
.

I'd like to hear about anything! but yes I meant Reiki etc. I had a massage last week, Tui Na it was called and I am just intrigued about all the different types of massage and healing

The main one I have experience with is Reiki and I've gotten to 2nd degree but if you don't keep up the practice then you will lose the ability. People do not understand what energy feels like and that yes you can feel it!!! You can not only feel it but you can manipulate it. I know a Reiki master who actually did this with the military for quite some time. Most people don't think its real but until you have had an energy massage then you will have no doubt of what is real and what isn't. Its incredible!

I don't think everything nor everyone is on the up and up though. Kind of complicated to explain. I guess it kidn of plays into religious beliefs with me so I am careful with who actually does it and what form they use.

I have had Reiki several times and felt heat on my skin each time. I really believe in it.
After a car accident I also had a cranio sakral (excuse spelling?) massage because I was so tense, even after I had gotten over my injuries. She told me it was because my body couldnt believe it had gone through something like that and survived and it was waiting for something terrible to happen. I cried so much during the treatment and when I left I felt like an enormous weight had lifted from my shoulders and I was able to move on.
I would love to be able to do that for people.

My aunt is a registered hypnotherapist specializing in past life regression, but most of her work is with overeating and smoking. It seems to work for alot of people. She also is learning some faith healing/distance healing.

Many chiropractors now will use acupuncture in the treatment. Many insurances will cover it too up to a certain point.

My co-pay for chiropractors is $30.00 a visit - close to the full amount. A lot of chiropractors have a monthly plan that can be less expensive than using your insurance. I just found this out.

I also have recently heard of a different kind of chiropractor. He doesn't manipulate you by hand. He straps you to machines and it is supposed to be gentler. A guy I know went ONCE and said he felt great immediately. My Mom may be trying this soon.

Actually, he did say it that to look at them, the machines reminded him of mid-evil torture machines, BUT it worked!

One of my cat was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma and was given a lifespan of few weeks. I didn't give up easily oh him, besides the conventional Vet treatment, I give reiki treatment as an adjunct therapy. It was able to prolonged the life of my cat for another 2 years.
