My kitten recently had her shots and a few weeks after developed a lump at the site of the injection. I'm worried it could be, or could lead to sarcoma. What are the chances of this being cancer? I don't want to lose my baby, I would be devastated.
Does anyone know how expensive the treatments for this type of cancer would be?

She is currently being watched closely and will be returning to the vet for a re-check.

Have you called the vet? I am praying it is all ok. Please let us know! ***hugs***
I am no expert, but i think you are doing the right thing.
When does she go to the vet? I'd take her tomorrow!

She's already been to the vet, and we are waiting for a re-check. Right now I just have to wait for time to pass to see what happens. It's killing me to think that there is a possibility that I could lose her. If only I hadn't vaccinated her, but I was being a resposible pet owner and making sure she was up to date on her shots.

It isn't uncommon for a small lump to come up at or near the injection site shortly after the vaccine - most are usually not cancer and they go away in a few weeks. Give it a little time.

In the interim, my best advice to you is simple: Don't borrow trouble. It finds you well enough all on it's own.

The lump showed up about three weeks after the vaccination. I pray you are right and it will go away. About how long does it usually take for these lumps to go away? She has had it for about three weeks now.
