How do you save your digital pictures??

I have been accumulating many pictures on my computer. What is the best method for backing these pcitures up?? Burning CDS?? Using those portable drives??? For my landscaping business I was thinking of burning on a CDR as I will print for my portfolio the before and after pics.
Any thoughts would be welcome!!

I back up on CD, just did it yesterday in fact.

I've got an external hard drive for backups, which I'm quite pleased with. Over the years, I've had too many unpleasant experiences with diskettes/CDs as backups.

I have a 160GB external hardrive that i save them and my graphics too, but every so often I back up my favourite ones to CD too and many are stored online for linking too.
