rectal glands

I have an older female cat and she has a difficult time cleaning herself fully due to her being overweight. I usually take a warm washcloth to her bottom a couple times a week. I have noticed lately that when I do she seems to seep white liquid from her rectum. Any ideas?

Sounds like impacted anal glands, you can take her to the vet, or to a groomers. Any good respectable groomer knows how to manipulate the glands to secrete the build-up inside.
