My husband's grandma is 84 years old, and while that may seem old to some, she sometimes seems even older. She gets the paper everyday, but only reads about 1/10 of it....especially if the article has anything to do with local news of "yesteryear". She doesn't watch the news at all. The reason I'm saying all this is to share a funny story with you, but I feel you needed to know just how out of touch with current events she is.
So, keeping that in mind, my hubby, son and I go over to her place last night, and she's going through her mail. And one of pieces of mail was an advert for "Hairclub for Men", and she says (I swear to God I'm not making this up)...... "Oh, look, now they have a club for bald men. What will they come up with next?"

I had to run into the bathroom to avoid laughing at her! And when I came out, I had to avoid looking at my husband, 'cause I knew we would both have lost it.

That's funny. Bless her heart.

My mom was in her early 80's and had a hearing problem. Our daughter was into riding and mom loved to go watch her. One day we asked if she wanted to go with us to see Forrest Gump. She said sure. She went upstairs, cleaned up, changed into light summer clothes, got her visor and sunglasses. I asked her why she was bringing the visor and sunglasses. She said, "aren't we going to see the horse jump?". We laughed about that for months.
