Tak is 3 and a half years old now. She's always been really independant and doesn't really seem to need people in her life at all, unless we're opening a can of tuna!
Within the last month or so, she's become really clingy like she's never been before! She's started sleeping on our bed (completly new phenomena) and cuddles with us on the couch when we watch movies. She also sleeps on my desk when I work at the computer and has been constantly underfoot!
She doesn't seem sick or worried at all, just really intent on being near us constantly.
Is this something that happens as they get older? Or is she really lonely during the day when we aren't home? I'm working on getting her a new friend (we have apartment regulations to contend with first).
Anyone else noticed this with previously independant cats?
