I am thinking of trying one of these systems....but do they actually work? The ones that I have heard of are Litter Whiz and Litter Kwitter. Any experiences that you could share with me would be great! Thanks!!
Soda my 4 month old ragdoll girl has just started using the Litter Kwitter, she's progressed from using it on the toilet floor for 2 days, now she has progressed to using it on the toilet, which she has been on for 1.5 weeks. The next stage is the amber stage and we go onto that this weekend. She's not finding it difficult at all so far and we have had no mishaps as yet, fingers crossed! I am really looking forward to not changing litters and saving money on litter also. I will keep you updated, as from now on it gets harder I have heard.
I'm using CitiKitty for almost a week now. There's been no accidents so far. I'll be cutting the first hole on Friday. I'm hoping that they'll be trained in 5 weeks. I can't wait until I leave town and have to ask my sister to stop by to FLUSH the toilet while I'm gone. I'm kinda looking into automatic toilet flushers now.
Every week, I moved the litter box one room closer to the bathroom (starting in the basement, to the bottom of the stairs, to the top of the stairs, to bathroom, then I took the cover off for a week, then moved the litter box on the toilet for a week). I put in CitiKitty last Friday, no accidents so far.
I figure it's well worth the risk. For less than $30, I'm willing to gamble and hope I never have to buy another bag of kitty litter again.
I was doing some research and found this blog that someone did. Interesting reading.
