Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding watery eye. His left eyes is watery sometimes, not all the time. Took to vet and he gave us ointments, but it made it worse. We stopped using it and it got better. Anyone has similar experiences? How do we cure it? Thank you.

What a gorgeous boy

Welcome.
Although I'm not an expert, my "Morrell" has had a watery eye since I adopted him from a shelter. They tried eye drops which didn't cure the problem. I asked my vet to look at his eye, and it turns out he has scar tissue in there.

My sister took in a stray with a watery eye, and he had to have some sort of surgery to correct the problem.

You may want to take him back to the vet or to another one for a second opinion.

Good luck.

Thank you! We had the vet check the eye and there was no scar in the eye. We don't know. We might take it to another vet to check it out....

Did the vet put a dye strip into the cats eye to check for any slight scratch on the lens?

When Molly had a fight, she had this done and received some antibiotic aqueous cream and it cleared up the watering/goobing.
