Hello People... I'm pretty new to the site. . . . I was hoping someone could give me some advice... I fed my two cats treats .. . Something they both have been eating for the last 6 months (so nothing new). All of a sudden my 8 years old persian began to throw up and almost instantaneously my domestic short hair (Aprox. 4 years ) began to throw up as well. . . Are cats like humans? Sometimes if we witness someone regurgitaing it almost prompts up to do the same. . . Or was it the food? Or is it the start of some type of stomach virus? My persian seems ok currently, but my short hair is still a little out of it. . . Not sure if this is normal... Just left the vet about two weeks ago - - They were both examined and doing well. I'm really confused and a little worried about both cats throwing up. . . Hoping someone can share their experience or knowledge with me. . .

It seems strange they would both be sick at the same time. Is it possible you had a bad batch of food? Since you have cleaned their bowls and put out new food has there been any sign of sickness?

... tell me about it ... They have been eating the same food for the past month now- so I don't understand the rejection of the food. .. The persian is fine now and he's eating the same food after I've cleaned his bowl.. . My shorthair's bowl was cleaned out as well but she's still throwing up-- even water. . . It's really an odd situation... I guess it's back to the vet. . .

Be sure to have the vet check for intestinal blockage. These were the symptoms when my cat got one, and it's extremely serious.
