Please send prayers and good vibes for Oreo

My sister's cat has not been eating for a couple days and has not had much energy. She took him to the vet today and the vet sent her to the emergency room...She said his liver looks very bad!

I don't know any more details as of yet, but I am so worried for him. He is the brother of some of our cats and such a little gentleman...a really nice cat! And my little niece adores him.

Please send prayers and good vibes for Oreo! We are so worried.

The liver is probably in rough shape if the cat hasn't been eating...they can only go maybe 2 days without eating before it starts becoming dangerous for them.

I really hope Oreo is okay, and that they can fix him up!! I'll be prayin for him.

Aw, how sad! I think that since they did send Oreo to the emergency vet, they must feel there is hope of a cure.

I hope he feels better soon. These little furry creature do become such a part of the family, don't they? Best wishes for a full recovery!

Oreo was put to sleep today. My sister is so upset she will not give me much details. They tried to do a liver biopsy, but they found a hole in his intestines. My sister said that they said it could have been done by the doctor or it could have been there already. They were going to fix it but they couldn't guarantee anything, plus, they wouldn't give her a payment plan. And they told my sister that if they tried to fix everything, she would have to be under anesthesia for at least 3 times and that would also damage the liver further....And they wouldn't be able to use the feeding tube until the hole in the intestines was healed. I am so mad. I really think that this hospital messed up! No payment plan? When the hole could have been given to Oreo by the vet? I am too upset to write anything further.

Thank you for your kind words. I know that it was probably the best thing for Oreo. I am sorry for getting so upset. It's just that I took Oreo in as a tiny kitten from a feral mother and raised him and his siblings before my sister took adopted him. Consequently I was always very attached to him...and considered him part of my cat family.
He really was a great cat.
