You're only a couple of days off. Could be worse I suppose.

Close........it's called sauerkraut.......not Kaerkrag...but in this dish, you don't use sauerkraut; you use a head of cabbage......confusing huh?

There's nothing wrong with having corned beef twice in two weeks - I'd help you eat it - mmmmmm good.

When I have these incidents in my life I call them senior moments.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
(note to self, buy some corned beef when you go grocery shopping)

I LOVE corned beef and cabbage... especially from the slow cooker.

Well, around Chicago, it's very easy to forget what day it actually is, because St. Patty's Day celebrations start REALLY early. For example: I'm going to see my favorite Celtic band on Saturday night. GAELIC STORM! I went last year, had so much fun, I'm going back for more. Give me a pint 'o Guiness and comfy shoes and I'm a happy girl at one of their shows. I'mm be right in hte middle of the Celtic Mosh Pit this year. Last year I had a friend with me who was enjoying himself, but wasn't as into it as I was... this year some friends are threatening to come with, but I told them I'm only taking people who are willing to get in the middle of the dance floor with me.

A lot of festivities start here several days in advance... parades... blah blah blah... A vast majority of Chicagoans are Irish, so there's always a lot going on. I think the weekend of St Patty's Day, some friends and I are going to a pub here and having dinner and ale. but I'll have my Corned Beef and Cabbage during the week...

Have your CB&C early... then make some more later!!

I can honestly say I've never had corned beef-what does it taste like??
The closet I'll be to Chicago on the 17th is next Tuesday when I go to the floer show. I'll have a Black and Tan at the Irish bar at Navy Pier!!!

Chicago is the PLACE in the midwest to be for St. Patricks Day. You'll have tons of fun!

I can't think of how to describe Corned Beef...it's got its own unique flavor. Beef with a lot of salt? It is high in sodium, but oh so good!!!

Great, now I'm hungry...I'm going to lunch
