I like it within reason too.
My sort-of boyfriend likes to hold my hand and stuff in public and it makes me feel like he's proud to be with me.

It looks like everyone is on that same page here.
That would include me too. I'm affectionate, but I don't let it get out of hand in public.

Although my husband will hold hands with me, but he's pretty much against all kissing in public.

I once was in a movie theater sitting next to a couple who should could have used a room!!! It was so gross and disgusting. I really wish I would have had the nerve to say something. I'm SO not the confrontational type.

I HATE seeing overly passionate people in public - yesterday I got stuck in the metro next to a couple and all even with my eyes shut I coudln't get away from the "slurp, slurp, slurp" All I could think was: good grief, put her down, do you know where she's been!?

I think if you just returned from war, your team won the superbowl, it's new years eve, or you just came close to dying, tongue in throat kissing in public is acceptable.. Otherwise, a squeeze on the shoulder, a kiss on the forehead, or a knowing glance can be just as effective and sometimes more so. Tenderness is more important to me than horniness. I love to hold my bf's arm like back in the old days..

We have been married for 21 years now and we still love to hold hands when we are out.

A peck on the cheek, a hug, a smile....ahhhhh

I agree with you on the new yearas eve thing - I'm definitely not averse to a random kiss or four or five when the year turns!! Roll on 2007!!

My boyfriend is all for PDA but I have a very strict limit lol. Holding hands and quick pecks are ok but I'm never ok with anything beyond that. It took a while to get him to understand my limits. I have a really funny story of someone else though...

I was driving home from school in high school and the light was backed up because there were so many people leaving. The couple in front of me were having a full blown make-out session. Well the guy that was driving took his foot of the brake and started easing forward, it didn't take long before he ran into the guy in front of him
I'm sure he learned his lesson!
