So yeah, I went to the dentist today. Had to have a filling done. NOT COOL. Drills are bad, filling material tastes NASTY, and picks HURT.
No, it really didn't hurt...my dentist is quite good, and made sure I had PLENTY of novacaine in my jaw. Maybe a little too much, since I was numb from my lip to my ear and down my neck! LOL
I was numbed around 4pm, and was still numb at 7pm, but I was REALLY hungry. So I fixed a pizza for dinner and figured I would just be really careful and eat with the left side of my mouth. My fiance and I were sitting there eating, and I dabbed at my mouth to make sure I wasn't drooling all over, and lo and behold there is blood all over my napkin!! I had bitten the living crap out of my lip!! And didn't even feel it! So now I have a nice big raw bite on my lip, and it stings like crap. lol But at least I couldn't feel it when it was fresh. I only regained sensation about an hour ago. lol
The worst part is, I am going to try on wedding dresses again tomorrow evening, and I have a huge gash on my lip! LOL

Not fun.
I hope I never have to get work done on my fillings.

OWWWWWWWWWWW! The worst I've had it after a filling was (I smoke, bad me!) a couldn't hold the cigarette is my lips. OWWWWWWWWW! My sympathies to you!

Aww that's too bad. My dentist isn't really scary, but then I've never had any "real" work done either........come at me with needles and drills and I'm sure my story will change!

I hate to go to the denist, I pretty much hate it from the time I walk up and sign in
hate that person behind that desk to
I pretty much don't like anyone that looks at me
I have had lots of work done and it doesn't get any better

Oh crap .... we have a visit to the dentist booked for Monday.

Sorry to hear that you bit your lip, but as one who never gets all the way numb no matter HOW many shots are given I envy you. Hope your mouth heals soon. And have fun trying on the dresses

Oh my goodness!! You poor thing, that's terrible!

Kind of makes me glad that all I got was a cut lip.

Yeah, the dentist is BAD. I'd rather have a "female" exam than have dental work done, that's how much I hate it. lol

My mouth feels much better today. The challenge is going to be not picking and biting at it as it heals! LOL

Oooo...I've been that numbed before. Worst thing is, it was first thing in the AM and then I went to work! They had a field day picking on me. I wouldn't answer the phone but I did have a good time making fun of myself. When my co-workers got into it making fun of me, I just looked at em (and keep in mind I couldn't speak right either) and asked them if they were making fun of my disability. (which sounded more like dishibity...we work with people with disabilites, but we'd never make fun of one of them, just ourselves!
