So, I've been in bed with a stomach flu for the past couple days and am slowly on the mend, but someone reccommended that I make a tea out of catnip to help my digestion and cut down on the nausea. And guess what?

IT WORKS!!

So, there's my tip for you...catnip tes the next time your tummy hurts. And it actually smells really nice (Raphie, my lone catnip responder, agrees although he seems confused by its liquid form)

Just with a tea infuser or those disposable tea bag thingies...it actually really helps, surprisingly.

You can actually buy catnip teabags in health stores.

I'm sorry you're sick! Hope you feel better soon; I'm glad the tea is working

OK my first reaction to that was that is weird!! I have never heard of that before. I have a lot of catnip for the cats around, so I think I might try it next time I have an upset tummy. Only problem is, the cats would keep faking sick/upset stomach so they can have some all the time lol

But what does it taste like?

It tastes like catnip smells...if that makes any sense. It's actually a pretty unique taste for a tea. I put a little honey in there, too.

Doesn't surprise me at all - glad it's helping you feel better! Catnip has been used by humans since the Romans, with it being used medicinally in the Middle Ages (not sure if the romans used it medicinally or not).
