When I heard the announcement last August, of her diagnosis with lung cancer, I thought of their child, too. How horrible for him. Born to two beautiful people, famous, rich...everything that some people consider success. Yet he would have had an easier life as the son of poor nobodies, who were still with him and in full good health!

Christopher and Dana Reeve both seemed to be people of great character. I hope their son has someone very special to be with him through this terrible time. Deep condolences to all who knew them!

I feel so awful for their son. I guess it just goes to show you (although why did two seemingly wonderful people have to be the ones to show us?) that beauty, tallent, fame, money, etc. can't buy health. Thoes things are only temporary, but the good work they did will live on. I'm sure they have passed some of that character on to their son. Although 13 can be a fragile time without loosing your parents. I will deffinatley be praying for him and the rest of their family.

I just heard this right now on the news. To die of lung cancer is ironic because she didn't smoke. I will keep her son in my prayers. To lose both parents so close together and at such a young age is soooo sad.

That's exactly what I thought! How scary.

I feel for her son as well...to lose both parents relatively close together must be so terrible.

Dana Reeve was a very special person. It's truly a very, very tragic day when we lose such a person.

My prayers go out to her son as well as her extended family.

I also heard on CNN that his grandmother (not sure if it was Dana or Christopher's mom) that he (the son) was very close to died a few months ago. So that is 3 deaths in such a short time.
