Yeah - I know what you mean about that. The body threw me too, but I guess no movie is perfect. They said it wasn't breathing, but I don't remember - did they ever touch it or take the pulse or anything? Maybe we are just suppose to assume that they "glanced" at it and saw the blood and just kinda assumed it wasn't breathing.Originally Posted by Hydroaxe
I finally saw the first one just a week ago. I'd like to see the second one some time. There were a few inconsistencies that bugged me about the first one though. One of them was the body on the ground and the two characters both agreeing out loud that it wasn't breathing. Those guys were in that room for hours and hours. I'm supposed to assume that the guy on the floor held his breath for a day? Yeah right.I hope the second one doesn't have stuff like that.
I thought newer scary movies were getting away from that.Originally Posted by lisasha3

I didn't see anything like that in the second one. I think it made sense, although at the same time I'm so freaked out I don't really pay attention to some of the tiny details. Like one important detail in the second one that I never caught until I watched the special features and they pointed it out.
You know as well as I do that all these freaky movies have stupid parts anyways - they hear a noise in a dark room and what do they do? - go into the dark room. They hear a noise outside and what do they do? They go outside. They get trapped somewhere with a very evident way out and what do they do? Panic and freak out. While we all sit here and YELL at the TV - DON"T GO INTO THE ROOM!! DON'T GO OUTSIDE!! THE DOOR IS OVER THERE IDIOT!!

But you've got to remember that Rob Zombie made House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects to pay homage to the campy B-rate horror movies of the 60s & 70s. So they are supposed to be bad! Of course, Rob Zombie is also just a sick individual, so the visuals are better than the 60s & 70s horror/slasher flicks.Originally Posted by Hydroaxe
