One of the abandoned cats in our kennel succumbed to panleukopenia yesterday morning. He was so sick by the time we got him there wasn't much that could be done except make him comfortable. He had a peaceful last few days.

It makes me so sad to know that this poor boy didn't have a family to love him and be with him in his last hours. At least he was safe and warm.

Condolences on his loss. And very special condolences from Garfield. That is the same illness that he lost his brother Odie to. He is certain that Odie will welcome the little homeless kitty across the Rainbow Bridge, and watch out for him.

Eupnea, yes, that sweet boy DID have a family in his last few hours - YOURS, which makes him a member of the TCS family; he crosses Rainbow Bridge to play happily with our other TCS kitties who have passed on ahead of us. And be sure that he will be giving the Creator an excellent report about you
Condolences to you & the rest of the shelter staff on losing a precious life; please know that the rest of us here appreciate all your caring & efforts. It takes great courage to do what you do, knowing that there is pain as well as reward. Take Care, Susan

you guys are all wonderful.

If only we could save them all. I know this cat is one of sooo many who die needlessly for lack of good care, and I know there will always be more.

it makes me want to try harder at my job, that's for sure.

Rest in peace, little one. You do know a bunch of people cared about you, and you have lots of kitty friends, now, in a place where you are forever young and healthy.
