wondering if nerves/stress in combination with food changes have caused this?
roxy was in a petting mood the other day and presented me with her *ahem* behind. i noticed there was red on it, and i thought it was blood! i've been watching her stools and they're definitely firming up since i've switched to Natural Balance Ultra kibble. i haven't seen blood in the litterbox or when she goes. i'm wondering if the red is dried blood? possibly hemmoroids (sp?)? irritation from bowel movements? it's there everytime i look. sometimes it's a brighter red, other times it's dark red/almost brown.
she acts just fine, is eating and playing like normal, and has been using the litterbox for both pee and poop on a regular basis.
i've got a call into the vet to ask. and i'm going to try to identify her stools from ruby's, in case the vet wants a sample.
any thoughts?
