Do you have "steps" in your family, such as parents, siblings, children, etc?
(they say more than 50% of American homes do)

I don't have any steps. My boyfirend does though. Well, his sister is his 1/2 sister but his dad is her step dad.

I have a step mother (who is strangely enough, my stepfather's ex-wife), a step father, 2 step sisters, 1 step brother, and 3 half brothers.

I at first thought I didn't , but then putting more thought into it, I guess my family does. Jerry has a great step father and 4 step siblings.......my sister in law is a step mother to my brothers two children from his first marriage and my sister Deb has a step grandson from her son's marriage to his wife.

Well, nephew's second wife is step-mom to the kids from the first marriage (and a better mother - IMO). Then mom had a step-mom after her mom died. My Dad would have been sis's step-dad, except her dad let my dad adopt her!

Immediate family - not yet. I will be gaining a step-mother on May 20.
I do have 3 step-nephews (and one step-grand-neice).

I'm one of the few people that I know whose parents stayed married. They were married over 35 years until Mom passed away 6 years ago.

No steps here either, John does - he has a step mom, and a 1/2 sister.

Well, I don't think this would count, but when my mom was 18, she had me, and my 'real' dad left her. I've never met him, but my mom did marry a man who I consider my real true father - when I was 2.

None in my family.. well maybe on my dad's cousin's daughter's side.. but that's it. My bf's cousin has a stepfather but only because the real father died.

I had three step-grandparents-Dad's dad was killed in combat during WWII and his mother remarried, Mom's parents divorced and remarried. Now only my mother's stepfather is still alive.

I have a step son. My brother's kids have both a step mother and a step father (neither of whom they have a great deal of attachment to, I think). My own parents were married almost 50 years when Mum died, and Dad never remarried.

I think there are some others amongst the younger cousins, but I'm not sure where, since I'm not really much in contact with them -- I know at least one of them is on his second marriage, but I'm not sure whether he had kids in his first -- you get the picture...
