I bet this thread will get buried quick

I know many of us are in the middle of the Winter doldrums and Spring can't came quick enough.

What are the good things about Winter that you will miss?

I will miss the cold, crisp, clean air, the absolute silence you normally only hear during a snowstorm, and most of all, the storms that paint the trees white and make everything real pretty.

This is Florida, so I will miss going outside and not sweating. I will miss being able have fresh air in the house.

I'll miss snow, feeding birds and winter clothing: I love curling inside a big scarf and fluffy mittens. Right now spring can't come too fast for me, though.

Winter? what Winter. We maybe had a couple of storms and a couple of weeks of cold weather. But mostly it has been more spring like between 40-70 F. I do like cold winter days where I don't have to go anywhere and can put on a slow cooking stew or chili, then watch the snow come down and cuddle with the cats.

Nothing I don't like winter!

Actually one thing I will miss is my cats don't ding at me to try and get outside. When it warms up they are trying to get out.

I knew I was going to get a lot of "Nothings"

I bet if I asked in the middle of the Summer, you would all have a long list!

That's what I'll miss too - the way everything's so quiet and still and the only thing you can hear is your footsteps crunching through the fresh snow. And hot chocolate

Let's see...

I'll miss:
- paying the heating bill
- having to wear 3-4 layers at home because I'm trying to keep the heating bill down
- the painfully cold wind in my face when I'm walking to school
- frozen toes
- slipping on the ice

and so on...

I like winter. I will miss:

the pretty snow
fire in the fireplace
chili for dinner
cold water coming out of the faucet
cocoa
not mowing
not sweating
being able to leave the frozen groceries in my car trunk overnight if I don't feel like carrying them in
wearing cuddly sweatshirts
snuggling more with my honey because we keep the bedroom so cool
the generally cozy feeling winter gives

I'll miss...well....pretty much nothing. I am not a winter person--although I do like my winter boots and sweaters!

Only having to take Jamie on short walks every day! I certainly won't miss snow after this winter. It has been the coldest, and snowiest, in 20 years.

Gees, you ALMOST could make me miss winter with your list.............

If I had to be honest, there are things about all 4 seasons that I wish I could just roll into one BIG season..............
