Sorry have not heard about it.
Cats like the taste of beer? Mine don't even like the smell.

My husband drinks non-alcoholic beer (usually Beck's), and Jamie samples it all the time. I don't think you have to search for such a beer especially for cats - the human variety is apparently quite tasty to dogs/cats/rats.

I know my cats LOVE beer. Every time my husband and I will have a beer (which is rare now a days) all three of my cats are all about it. One time a bottle got knocked over and onto the carpet, and we had to fight all three of them away from the puddle so that I could clean it up.

As for the beer for cats thing, I have never heard of it. To be honest, I dont know if I would give my cats any form of beer, alcohol or not. I want to discourage them from drinking my beer, and giving them their own only encourages them IMO.

I'm wary of giving my cat anything that doesn't supplement his diet in some way.

I can't imagine that beer would have anything to offer nutritionally.

I'm biased though.

I wonder if its the malt they find appealing? Maybe you could just give them malted milk powder? My husband drinks dark beers like Guinness and neither of my two have ever seemed interested...

I have never had a cat interested in beer.
