About two years ago I set up a personal website hosted through one of the cheap server companies. One of the facilities they offer is a guest book, and occasionally people come and offer comments or say hello. But recently, for maybe three or four months, I have been inundated with spoof visits which are advertising in disguise, usually for insurance. They are coming at the rate of several a day! Is anyone else experiencing this with similar guest sites? Apparently the only way I can stop it is to pay a high premium to filter out advertising from my site. I don't know what to do - right now I am more or less deleting every new entry unread, and I hope I am not losing 'visits' from friends.
