Can't wait is an understatement. My friend is actually considering flying down from Atlanta so we can watch it together (used to be our Sunday night routine). There was a huge article in USA Today on the new season on Friday. They will be doing an extra set of 8 'bonus' episodes to air in January, as well.

I am VERY excited about this! I am completely hooked. I am going to have watch some of last season again to bring myself back up to date. I don't watch many shows, but I never miss The Sopranos.

I LOVE that show. I wish I had cable & HBO, now, but I don't. I wonder why they charge more for The Soprano's DVD's than they do other TV show's.

Hope, I think a lot of it is because of music rights. HBO shows use a lot of contemporary music and movie and TV clips in their shows, and those have to be paid for with each time the show airs, and each copy of the show sold.

Did anyone else catch up on the last season's episodes that HBO was showing all week? I'm sure glad I caught the last 4 episodes of it. I have a hard enough time keeping track of who is who (except the obvious main characters), so it was definitely a good refresher. And I had forgotten that Johnny Sacks had gotten busted by the Feds in the last episode!

I was also inspired to go back and rewatch some of the old episodes after you started this thread last week. I'm glad I did. I had also forgotten a lot of what happened. Watching them reminded me of some of the things I like about this show. The directing is fantastic, and they really know how to set the mood with lighting and music.

About 4-1/2 hours to go. I have read every article I have run across. I have re-watched season 5 a couple of times, and sometimes you still see a nuance that you missed before.

Oh NO! I really lucked out with the schedule here, Sopranos is at 7:00, Desperate Housewives at 8:00 and Grey's Anatomy at 9:00. At least HBO repeats their programming 50 times a week, so you can catch the Sopranos on another day (but you can't see the ABC shows at another time!).

That's true. I'll have to do a search on my dish to see when the ep is repeating. Hopefully tomorrow.... I'll have to refrain from checking this post after tonight!!!!

I'm dyin' here! We have no cable, so no Sopranos for now. When we move, we'll get Comcast on Demand so we can watch the missed episodes. The Sopranos is the only show I ever watch on TV.
