finally got a siggy, now can't shrink it!

This is so frusturating. Over the last few months I've been working on a sig. Nothing too professional. In HP Image it says it's 377x70. Plus I shrank it in photobucket. When I go to preview it looks huge. I'm going to post it here and hope for suggestions. Thanks!

Edit- crud it still looks huge. Maybe i can try this on my own.

It's difficult to control the size when using Photobucket to shrink photos. You could try www.irfanview.com , or www.picasa.com (both freeware).

Thanks to abby's mom, I know have a sig. But I'm finding that when I look at my posts- new and old some of them have the siggy and some don't.

Is it just weird b/c I'm looking at my own, or does it take awhile for the siggy to go to all the posts? Or is something wrong with my account?

I don't know the answer, but I can see it on this one!
I can see it, but the file size is way too big - 45,937 bytes. 30,000 are allowed. Could you send the photos to one of the "siggy-making" volunteers, and let them create one that meets the requirements? http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49868

Why is it so big? the version on my computer is 28k

Here - I uploaded it to my photobucket. Just rightclick on it to save it on your computer and then upload to your image hosting site. This should work.

When I opened it from your email, it was in bitmap. So maybe that changed the memory amount.. It's good you guys can see it, I was worried. I'll change it over now. Thanks again for help.

I'm gonna test it first..

oops, that didn't work. I have a few versions floating around photobucket.

Trying again:

(I tested it and it came out HUGE, so I took it out)

Hmm.. I saved it to my computer as a jpg, then uploaded to photobucket, and it comes up to physically big from that version when I post it... any ideas anyone?

Last ditch effort before I really start screaming. I saved abby's mom's version doing right click as a bmp, not jpg, and uploaded it. Please let me know if the file size is too big.

Yay! it worked. But is the file size too big? I don't want to switch it with my signature until I know for sure. Hubby is dragging me out of the house, so i will check in later tonight.

It's still too big. I'll tell you what - I'll save Karen's/AbbysMom's version, and edit your siggy. Then you can work on it when you have time. Try saving everything in jpeg - that will probably solve the problem.

Okay, I Think I may have got it. I changed over a btmp file to jpeg in my computer, then uploaded it to photobucket.

Is this good:

The top siggy is too big; the bottom one is fine. Why don't you save the bottom one to your Photobucket account, and use that?
