So much has happened!

I have missed so much on here! My life has been totally crazy since January 12th.

That day (which was saturday) my mom started having stroke like symptoms (she has brain cancer) so we went to the ER. Did a CT scan and discovered bleeding around her tumor. Did a MRI and was told to discontinue radiation and chemo and she was sent home on Hospice. My mother is 49 years old and we're just taking each day as they come...hoping shes as comfortable as possible. We were released on Monday.
Also, my grandfather was admitted that same monday for immediate colon cancer surgery and we almost lost him! BUT hes "okay" now...out of ICU..which is good.
That wednesday a friend of mine was killed in a car wreck. He was a EMT and in route and they lost controll and killed them. Of course with everything else going on i couldnt make it to the visitation or funeral.
I missed a whole week of work and i really dont know where time went. I finally broke down and went to the dr and my Blood Pressure was 152/115....a lil stressed.
On a bitter-sweet note, my boyfriend proposed to me with my mom there and promised her that he would take care of me. **sighs** He is just so thoughtful, we all cried together and she made me promise to put a big picture of her on the front row of our wedding.

At work i'm preparing for a trial thats in 8 days. OMG!!! I go home exhausted and then on the weekends i head for my moms which is 2 hrs away...but i have missed you guys so much! Please keep us in your prayers....Well it looks like i have alot of catching up to do....see ya

That just brought a tear to my eye with putting her picture at your wedding. I wouldnt know how to do it knowing that she is going to pass any time soon.

You poor thing!! How could anyone deal with so much at one time?! I can see why you are so stressed. I am really sorry you have to go through all this.

Well.. At least ... your boyfriend proposed to you right in the middle of all of that. Like, just when all the other doors seem to be closing and you're standing in the middle of a dark room, he opens another for you & him to continue your lives.......... Right?

Welcome back! Wow, what a lot to go through! Condolences on the loss of your friend ! And I'm so glad your Grandpa is doing well.

I'm sorry your Mom isn't doing well. Hospice can be a godsend, and so helpful. I keep her and you in my prayers! I know this is a horribly difficult time for you.

Congrats on the engagement! Can't wait to hear details...once you get a minute free to plan any details! LOL!

My baby sister married several months after my Mom passed away, and they played a song in her honor at the reception, and we all just bawled for a minute or two. But overall, her wedding was a beautiful celebration, just as yours will be.

WOW thank you all for the support...its good to know i have you guys! I read the thread about me, wow, i'm quite flattered! I tell you its been real hard at times but i'm getting through it all....one day at a time is all i can do.

Again, big thanks to everyone that is praying...all your support is greatly appreicated. I told my mom about you guys and she just smiled. I'm not sure if she really understood but i think she saw the smile on my face and she knew it was good!

How awful for you. You must be incredably strong. And you are lucky you have such a wonderful man to help you through this. I don't know what to say, I cannot imagine how you are feeling.

My niece in law's mom passed away before her wedding however they were able to spend some time together picking out the wedding dress and other details. Is that possible with your mom??? I dealt with hospice with my MIL-the organization was wonderful!!

Thanks, the moment was very bitter-sweet for me. We dont have a date, he told me later that he was planning on asking me in April but when he heard the news of my mom he decided to bump it up. So at this point, we dont have any plans - he just wanted to include my mom in something special. I've been really upset that shes not gonna be here for alot of things and for him to do that just really pleased me. My grandfather is stable, hes had alot of swelling and few complications but hes in good sprits. I try to take time for myself but i feel like i'm constantly on the go...my house is dirty, cats prolly feel neglected lol but i do manage to take a hot bath before bedtime on some nights.

Okay... now that I've stopped bawling Congratulations on your engagement! Your mum is a very very special woman, God bless her and keep her safe. You've had SO much to deal with, Lord knows I coudln't have done what you have. I've a lot of admiration for you sweetie.
