Has your cat ever tried to groom YOU?

This is something I've always wanted to know the answer too: has anyone here ever had their cat(s) start licking your hair?

One of my cats does this now, and I had another one who did it as well. Sometimes I will be lying in bed and he will come and for some reason start licking my hair. Or, when I am sitting in a chair he will come on the headrest and do the same.

Am I the only one that has had this happen?

I've never had Abby lick my hair, but she licks my hands and arms all the time.

Same here, Oliver's never licked my hair but grooms my hands and arms all the time.... he conducts one of his daily grooming sessions leaning up on me when we get into bed at night, so his tounge usually makes its way over to me

Yes.
Sometimes my cats like the lick my eyebrows, I guess that's because the hair of eyebrows is kind of short like fur
I think it's kind of cute.
They've licked my hair a few times too.

I've had just about everywhere groomed!!

Especially right between my eyebrows!

Boogs was in love with my husbands feet. She would hold them down, groom them (socks on or off) then go to sleep with her head resting on his feet.

I've never had a cat groom my hair, but I've had cats that have tried to groom my sons hair

Panther licks me all the time. Sometimes I think he is kissing me, other times I think maybe he is bsthing me!

Mooch has ever since she was a little kitten!

Prue does that to me alot, and sometimes gently nibbles too,lol.

I had a foster who would vigorously lick, chew on, and drool heavily in my hair while purring very loudly, until he would fall asleep on my head. He was a sweet little lad.

We're ambushed by Jamie every morning! I can't leave the house until he has cleaned my ears, and behind them, and hubby has to have the back of his head washed!!! The world would probably end, or Jamie would have a major nervous breakdown, if either of us dared to go to work before being properly "groomed"! Hubby had off today, and rearranged some throw rugs in our house. When I got home, I "heard" all about it from Jamie! How dare Daddy make any changes!

Oreo grooms my husband's hair sometimes in the evenings - DH sits on the couch watching TV, and Oreo sits on the back of the couch and gives him a thorough working over.

Sometimes the cats will try to lick my hair, but it's too long & gets caught in their tongues, so they don't usually do more than a lick or two, though Mr. Underfoot will try to chew on my hair if I let him.

Puppy likes to groom us. After licking a few times, he starts nibbling just the very top layer of our skin with his front teeth. Not a full love nip, but like he's trying to remove fleas from us!

Cassi is prone to overgrooming, she hasn't licked any fur off of herself for months now, but she still tries to lick the hide off your hands when you pet her.

Spaz likes grooming my hair, but it is ALWAYS prelude to a startling love bite to the back of the head. As a kitten, she was always trying to groom any facial hair off of us.

Me too - except mine don't just stop. What started as grooming ends as play. My long hair (usually tied up in a pony) becomes a cat toy.

My oldest, Beamer has licked my hair since he was a baby. Sometime he drives me nuts because he will not quit!

Many of the cats in my family have been "groomers". My Snowy would sleep next to me on her own pillow and I would often fall asleep with my hand on her. Nearly every night she would give my hand a through cleaning! Once I tried to move my hand and she grabbed it back, as if it were a naughty kitten!
My parents have a cat that licks at my father's hairline almost obsessivly. Whenever Danny licks my face, I just think, "Whoa, free exfoliation treatment!"
