Hello,

I'm just curious to find out if anyone else has had their cat stand on their owner's head. My Kabou started this when she was a kitten. She would stand with all four feet on the top of my head while I was standing, not lying down. She now just puts her front paws on my head and stays there for a short period of time. She will sometimes paw my hair, but does not hurt me. Could this just be play or is there some kind of "top cat" issue going on?

Panther does this to me, sometimes. I don't know why but I get a kick out of him. Also when I am bending down with my back against the washing machine and cleaning his litterbox (against the wall in front of me) and he wants to get around me, he simply jumps on my back and then over. He is the only one of my 4 who does this, and i think it is because he is so smart. He has also figured out if you TURN the door knob the door opens - so now I have to keep it locked!

When I am in bed, my cat Murphy will sometimes do this. He doesn't care. He just gets up on my head without a care in the world and he's no featherweight either anymore. He usually does it in the morning when he wants to "casually" suggest I wake up and feed him.

Oh I also forgot to add this: my "son" is quite clumsy at times and has slipped while standing on my head and has left a nice scratch!

When Oliver was about a year old he would hang out with us every morning when the guys were getting ready to go to work. They all met at our house for coffee. One day, one of the workers came in with his head shaved. Oliver was apparently very interested. When the man sat down, Oliver hopped from the floor, to his lap, and to the top of his bald head! He just sat there while the rest of us laughed our butts off.

Lol. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve never had a cat climb on my head, but cats go pretty much where they want to go.

I do remember seeing a cartoon (I think it was a wall poster,) of a small boy with several scratches on his face. The caption was “Donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t put a cat on your head!â€

Bit of a difference though in letting your cat climb upon your head and picking it up a putting it there.

Larry.

Jamie loves to stand or sit on my head, but I try to discourage it, because he weighs 6 kilograms. He loved to ride (and sleep) on my head when he was little, and just doesn't understand that he's too big for that now. He definitely wants up there during vet visits.
