I know all of you in England and Europe know who he is.

Earl saw him on Live 8 last year and was really impressed, but we'd never heard of him here in the US. And Earl even works in the music industry (radio). We finally got a CD - The Ego Has Landed. LOVE IT!! Now we're looking around for other stuff of his to buy.

So who else likes Robbie Williams?

Not a fan of Robbie Williams. Most pop musicians don't do it for me. I can probably drag up a few of his CD's though if you'd like. I worked for an internet radio station for a while, and aquired a LOT of music from it, and still have some contacts. Just let me know.

Thanks for the offer.
His stuff is carried in the US, and definitely on Amazon, it just isn't mainstream for the US. (We're such music snobs over here, in general - we expect the world to love our music, but won't hardly play anything from outside of the US.) Usually I'm not big on pop either, but for some reason I do like his music.

OMG - photos like that bring back SO many memories!

I'm a bit of a Robbie fan, in fact I'm going to see him in concert this August
and I have a Robbie calendar in my kitchen! He's not my favourite singer but he's such a showman - I'm really looking forward to the concert

I think these days he lives in LA because he's still relatively unknown in the US!

He so huge in Europe that it's hard to believe that he's relatively unknown in the U.S., despite his duet with Nicole Kidman. "Take That", minus Robbie, of course, is currently on tour in Europe.
The really incredible thing is that everybody thought Gary Barlow had the greatest chance of a solo career after Take That, and it was Robbie Williams, the guy who got kicked out of the group, who became the superstar.
