Hi all,

My 6 months old kitten vomited this morning (at 6.00) and when i woke up at 8.00 he was still seeming to be a bit sick...he actually refused a bit of ham (i gave him to see if he is sick or not). His nose was also a bit more red than the normal and a bit more hot...tomorrow we go to the doctor anyway because its the day we were supposed to neyter him...what can i do..? now im at work (had to leave him although i worry), i hope he is ok when i go back. Does anybody have a suggestion..? he has vomited again in the past but i guess this is not such a drama for a cat, no? anyway he was playing and jumping after this. But this time no..

It could be a number of things?.

Has there been anything lying around the house that he could have licked eg: floor cleaners?.

Me personally i wouldn't be waiting until tomorrow before the vet visit

I wouldn't say there was something he could have licked...in any case, isn't it better if he is not operated tomorrow if he still seems sick..? i guess the vet will have something more to say anyway...

I have moved this thread to Health and Nutrition for you.

I agree with Susan, I would be bringing your kitten to the vet. If you are unable to leave work at this moment, please call the vet to get their advice. If he isn't doing well, I doubt they will want to do the neuter tomorrow. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

If he's sick they may not perform the operation.

My Sophie had an upset tummy 4 days before she was due to be spayed, i took her straight to the vet who gave her a shot of antibiotics and a paste that i had to give her twice a day to settle her tummy, but because she still had a slight temperature on the day of her spay they put it off until the following week.

Hi all, finally Luck was ok!! going back home I found him just jumping around and playing as always. Him and his brother Piolin have recovered from the operation very fast and they are now 2 little angels.

Only one question..how fast is the change of hormones after the castration...? How fast can someone see the effect...? I just wonder..
