OK, so this is what I came up with for the table for the surprise party. I thought I'd include some more pics as well seeing as it was such a good night!
This was the table decoration... the ladybugs are VERY Anna and Margriet, they loved them! It did take a little while to get all the leaves and ladybugs stuck to things, but it was worth it.
This is the wedding cake, it was all handmade by Karen, a friend of the family (she had to cut the two grooms off the motifs on the top, but we'll keep those, just in case!!)

My crazy "adopted" Bro - it's the only pic you can see his face in!! Right up at the back there!
This is brother-in-law Søren and the two girls Bjørg (l) and Sigrid (r)
Me and my man.... how romantic! The sign behind us says "Tillykke Griske Rotter" which means "Congratulations greedy rats!" We had to put the family pet name in there somewhere! Handpainted by myself, Benedikte and Sigrid... and everyone there had to add a handprint. And the cats added pawprints too!
And this was at the end of the night - Karen had found an article on marriage in the 1940's... in 1942, the year Anna was born, it was written that marriage was forbidden for nurses. Anna and Margriet are BOTH nurses!
And this one.... I had to add. The cat got tired first! Poor Knulli!!
