Hi All,

My cat Maggie who is around 3 years old, starting coughing today and she is jerking her head forward for a bit then coughing again. It seems to have stopped but she did it for about 2-3 minutes? Any ideas on what it could be? I just haven't seen her cough before. I have only had her for about 4 months

is it ongoing??

It could be hairballs ... or something far more serious ... I advise at least a call to your vet ..

She has not done it before. It was the first time i have ever heard it and it only lasted a few minutes. She seems fine now. I gave her some hairball control treats (whiskas temptations hairball control). Her regular food is IAMs Adult (orange bag). Just a scary sound to hear and the jerking of the head I was afraid she might be choking
