Update on my landlord situation

That is the best news I've heard all day! How fantastic! I hope getting set up as a rescue goes smooth and easy! And Quick!

Well, here's the latest:
He has decided that since we aren't a licensed rescue, we are violating the county zoning code, and has given us 3 days to reduce our number to 7 cats or he will start eviction procedures.
I spoke with a lawyer today who told me that he will lose this in court, we will win. But, we did go to look at another place today and loved it. We told the woman we wanted it, and she will get back to us in the AM to let us know if we'll get it. She knows all about our cats and has agreed to sign something up front indicating she knows 1) we have 39 cats and 2) she has no problem with that.
Please, keep your fingers crossed for us.

I don't have enough fingers to cross for all your cats, but I hope this other place works out for you if you really have to move.

It's a great place; 4 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, attached 2 car garage (which will be a kitty play-land), a fenced in dog run in the yard, which I would roof over with netting and make an outdoor kitty playpark! Fireplace in the living room, ceiling fans in all the bedrooms...and we could get broadband again! I am so sick to death of dial-up!!!

I do hope you get it. Even if you won a court fight with the current landlord you would always be looking over your shoulder to see if he was trying something else. It is worth so much to be on good terms with landlords and neighbours, especially when your lifestyle is something out of the norm. Very best of luck.

Sounds great! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it can all work out for you. Your current landlord seems like a giant pain in the you know what.
sounds like it was meant to be...too bad you'll have the hassle of moving, but things sound like they'll be much better at this place!
