Hello,
Every time my cat goes to the litter box, he seems to leave a smear of his waste on everything he sits or lays on afterwards, I don't know if his hair in the back should be cut or there is some sort of problem .
Can anyone help?
Thanks

(Smear is always white when it dries)

My cat has the same problem. She has long hair and some of her poop gets on it and then stinks for a while, and gets on some of the furniture/clothes. I wonder if it's recommended to cut the hair off back there so there won't be any in the way when she uses the bathroom.

How exactly do you do this? My cat always jams her tail down over her bottom so I can't really get to it to clean properly.

Just a thought, do the smears come when your cat pees or poops? What kind of litter do you use?

I ask because Willow sits low in the tray when he pees and actually touches the litter (World's Best Cat Litter), so when he wanders off and sits on things, he leave a bit of a wet mark that will dry a kind of white colour - which is the dampened litter that has dried.
