Well everyone, I may not be around much for a week or two. My laptop got sick and died today. Luckily I will be going home for spring break (yes spring break in first of march, not really spring, huh?) on Thursday or Friday and my dad is either going to try and get it fixed or I'll be getting a new computer. So I'm going to miss everyone! I may be on every once in a while because I'll be mooching of my roommate and my bf to do school work on their computers....send some vibes that I can get it fixed or get a decent new one for not TOO much money!

Yikes! I hope you get it straightend out easy. Computers can be such a pain. I just submitted a report to the VP of my department on all the computers in my classroom because at least 6 but really 9 of them need replacing. Fortunatley a year and a half ago we got 6 computers as a grant so I have thoes.

Ive noticed that germany is getting cheaper with computers, i bought ben a laptop last year for 1,000 and a desktop is about 600 - 700 euros.. And if you convert that in american dollars its cheaper.

It may only need a new Hard Drive, and that's not that expensive.

Yes, in the State, at least in California, where everything is much more expensive, you can get a brand new, no frills computer for about $300 or $400.

Hey thanks everybody, just stopping in to say hi! The thing is, I got kind of a cheaper laptop, so it may cost more to fix it than it would to just get a better computer! I'll let everyone know once I know what is going on!

Under the cats, mostly.
Oh well... at least it's funeral shouldn't cost any more than having it repaired. RIP laptop, I'm sure you'll be missed
It'll be good to hear from you as and when you make it back!

My niece wants first crack at my old computer after she guts it. She set it up for me (when sister gave it to me) and gave her a whole bunch of grief. I still don't know if she'll be using a sledgehammer or 12 gauge shot gun.
