Wow. I have to wonder how many of these names came after that 911 road thing.... did anyone else here have to choose the name of their street?? We lived on an unnamed road and had to submit a name ourselves.....

I lived in a trailer park in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Many of the road names were from the planets. One road was Uranus. How would you like to be asked where you live, and have to answer Uranus? Couldn't they have left that planet off the list?

Our address was listed as the main road outside the park, Redbank Rd. But if you were giving directions, and lived on that road....what do you say? Go to the end of Venus, and we're on the corner of Uranus?

Just too too weird!

Wow! I wonder what kind of people live on Psycho Path in Traverse City, MI? LOL.

I remember my sister telling me that there is a road in the Rockies that is termed the "Oh S---" Road, because there is an steep, almost straight shot, down the hill to the point you almost don't see the bottom of the hill.
I don't think its the official name though.

We have a couple of towns with strange "town-names". One is Hell, Michigan and the other is Climax!!!
My Dad was a builder, so he did get to name a few roads. Sunnyfield Rd which we lived on when us 3 girls were really young, Linda Lane (after me) that we lived on when I was a teen, and Patricia Lane (after my Mom) that I presently live on.
He had plans on doing more building and to name roads or lanes after my 2 sisters too, (He was going to name one Marylee Manor and the other Katie Court) but he passed away before that happened....so I guess it`s just going to be me and my mom that have been immortalized in this way.
Linda
